Best app for surf?

Hi
I have DrumJam and it's a really cool app-
Is it the most appropriate tool to be creating "conventional" surf type rhythm tracks on the ipad eg Los Coronos, Tornadoes etc?
Or is it best suited for 'beat' applications?
Any guidance much appreciated
