Do the pads conform to general midi note mapping? I want to use a sequencer as a virtual input for triggering the pads and can remap the notes if needed. Thanks!

They try to conform to the standard GM drum mapping when appropriate, yes! The more esoteric pad instruments also generally try to use the kick/hat/snare note values as a central organizing principle to make it a little easier to use them from a traditional midi binding setup.
